Frequently asked questions
What counts as an “active” class?
An active class is one you are currently teaching and taking attendance for. You can deactivate a class when a season ends — its history stays available and exportable, and it stops counting against your plan’s active-class limit.
Can I change or cancel my plan anytime?
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately, and you can downgrade or cancel whenever you like from inside the app. Billing is handled securely by Stripe.
How does per-session billing work?
Instead of a fixed monthly fee, you can set a rate per attended session for any enrolment. AttendMeIn counts the sessions each student actually attended and generates the payment amounts for you — editable before you confirm.
How do SMS credits work?
On Basic and Pro you buy SMS credit bundles inside the app. Each SMS sent uses credits, and a transparent ledger shows every purchase and deduction. When credits run out, notifications automatically fall back to email so parents still get informed.
Do parents or students need accounts?
No. Parents receive notifications by SMS or email — there is nothing for them to install, sign up for, or remember a password for.
Can I export my data?
Always. Student rosters, attendance, grades, payments and expenses can be exported as CSV, PDF or ZIP on every plan, including Free. Your data is never locked in.
Is my data safe and GDPR-compliant?
AttendMeIn uses one-time-password login, role-based access, strict per-school data isolation and immutable audit logs. Data is processed in line with GDPR — see our Privacy Policy for details.
What happens if I exceed the Free plan’s limits?
Nothing is deleted. You simply can’t add more than the plan allows (for example a 21st student) until you upgrade. Everything you’ve already created keeps working and remains exportable.
