Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026 — Draft: pending legal review
This Privacy Policy explains how AttendMeIn (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects personal data when you use our website and the AttendMeIn application.
Who we are
AttendMeIn provides school management software for tutoring centres, language schools and private academies. For data that schools enter into AttendMeIn (students, parents, attendance, grades, payments), the school is the data controller and AttendMeIn acts as a data processor on the school’s behalf. A Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is available on request.
Data we process
- Account data: name, email address and login credentials of school owners, admins and teachers.
- School data (on behalf of schools): student and guardian details (including data of minors, entered by the school), class enrolments, attendance records, grades, tuition payments and expenses.
- Billing data: subscription and payment information, processed by Stripe. We do not store card numbers.
- Communication data: SMS and email notifications sent to parents on behalf of the school.
- Technical data: aggregated, cookieless website analytics and error diagnostics.
Why we process it
- To provide the AttendMeIn service to schools under our Terms of Service.
- To send notifications that schools configure (absence alerts, payment reminders, receipts).
- To bill subscriptions and comply with tax and accounting obligations.
- To secure the service: one-time-password login, role-based access, per-school data isolation and immutable audit logs.
Subprocessors
We use a small number of service providers to run AttendMeIn:
- Stripe — subscription billing
- Brevo — transactional email delivery
- SMS delivery provider — SMS notifications
- DigitalOcean — hosting infrastructure (EU data centres)
- Cloudflare — networking, security and cookieless analytics
- Sentry — error diagnostics
Data retention
School data is retained for as long as the school maintains an account. Schools can export their data (CSV, PDF, ZIP) at any time. On termination, data is deleted or anonymised within a reasonable period, except where retention is legally required.
Your rights (GDPR)
You have the right to access, rectify, export and erase your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Parents and students should direct requests to their school (the controller); we assist schools in fulfilling them. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
Cookies
Our marketing website uses cookieless analytics and does not set tracking cookies. The application uses strictly necessary cookies/tokens for authentication only.
